AUNDREA KOGER
Hometown: Osage City, Kansas
Background: I got my start in running as a spindly, uncoordinated middle schooler who previously had only marginal interest in sports, but once I saw some success in track and cross country, I was hooked! I ended up running for Western Washington University, an NCAA DII in Bellingham, WA. College running was as challenging as it was rewarding for me, with nagging injuries and years of just barely missing out on qualifying for championships, but also with lots of wonderful memories, great friends, a few long- awaited breakthroughs as a team and individual, and seeing my improved confidence translate into improved performance. After college, I spent a year running on my own, at first feeling a bit burnt out from the physical and emotional demands of being a student-athlete. Eventually, I found my drive again, reached out to PRT, and the rest is history!

Fun questions
Favorite race: Any twilight 1500m at Azusa Pacific
Favorite workout: 800m repeats at 3k pace!
Words to live by: Progress not perfection
Why I choose to run for PRT: After running on my own for a bit post-college, I really
missed having running buddies and decided to join PRT after meeting some of the team
at a couple of local track meets. I really enjoy the goofiness, camaraderie, and hard
work PRT embodies.
Favorite PRT memory: Coach Paul’s phenomenal speech at 2022 team camp in Big Bear
What I like to do besides running: I love to listen to podcasts, travel, read, bake, and
be active outdoors! Some of my favorite things to do after moving to San Diego are
surfing at La Jolla Shores, roller skating around Mission Bay, rock climbing at Mission
Gorge, going on lots of cool hikes, and exploring all the awesome beaches and
neighborhoods SD has to offer.
