Background: I became a distance runner halfway through college when I walked on the XC and track teams at Westmont College in Santa Barbara and fell in love with the sport of running. I’d run recreationally and for one season of high school track prior to that, but had primarily focused on playing competitive soccer up until college. I did well against NAIA competition in college (fall 2006-spring 2009), but all of my personal bests have come post-collegiately under the coaching of my husband and cheerleading of our three children. Between birthing and raising three kids and nursing several injuries over the years, my racing was sparse for a time. But I am back in action and stoked to have landed with PRT!

Why I choose to run for PRT: This team is the best camaraderie around! Everyone is so kind and supportive and encouraging of one another. I love how everyone pushes each other to be better, with a lot of fun and laughter along the way.
What I like to do besides running: Spend quality time with my husband and three kiddos, go to the beach, all things country music, read, eat sushi and ice cream.
